A Season of Growth for Gardens of Joy

Project Scope: Brand strategy and refresh, custom website design

Overview

Debbie and Cindy’s team help busy professionals have the beautiful, weed-free garden they want to come home to. They’re like the Molly Maids of gardening. Their business started out as a hobby but now they're ready to really grow it.

  • Primary Objective – To book more clients for quotes via more traffic.

  • Secondary Objectives – to save time on some admin tasks.

Getting Started: Every project starts with a discovery call to learn more about them, their business, their clients, and their competition. We need to get clarity on all aspects of their brand. Knowing what’s in the head of their ideal client is how they can connect with them, rather than just sell to them.

Their client’s main problem is that they have a garden they don’t like, they don’t want to be out there, and don’t want to come home and see that overgrown mess. Some have physical limitations, some have no idea what to do, but it’s mostly they just don’t have time to do it themselves because they work full time and have busy kids in sports and other activities.

The Gardens of Joy Solution: “We bring beauty and joy to your garden. It starts with us coming out to access your garden and talk to you about a plan based on your needs. It’s more than just maintenance.”

Unlike a lawn service or cleaning lady, Gardens of Joy bring joy and beauty. Both in the relationships they build with their clients and the beauty they bring to the gardens.

We want to show that transformation on the website. The relief and joy they’ll feel when they have a beautiful garden and have saved themselves time. They can look out the window into their yard without dread, they have more time to spend enjoying their garden with family and friends.

The Brand

  • They are caregivers – their services are unlike house cleaning or lawn care – they really care.

  • Their customers want status – having a home and garden is important to them. They work hard and they want to be able to show off their home and garden to friends and family when entertaining. To not feel less stressed.

  • They bring Joy – this is a differentiator in their market and one of their brand values.

  • The style is classic, thoughtful, and natural. Images show more upscale homes their ideal client would own and the gardens they aspire to have. We elevated their branding by freshening up their logo, fonts, and colour palette.

The Website

  • We use lots of white space with clean lines, uncluttered, and modern fonts for a modern, professional feel.

  • High-quality photos that show the results they’re looking for with images of beautiful flowers and gardens. The extra time they have for fun with their kids and entertaining. And the emotional benefits of less stress, more time for family, and the admiration/envy of their neighbours and friends.

Over 50% of website views are now done on mobile devices so it’s important that your website is completely responsive.

Custom Graphics

In addition to brand and website images and graphics, my clients often need social media cover images, launch graphics, or images and graphics for their blog or social media.
